Pr Secy Jal Shakti Deptt visits Reasi, Reviews progress on implementation of JJM in distt

Reasi : Principal Secretary, Jal Shakti, Ashok Kumar Parmar Saturday visited Reasi district and chaired a meeting to review the progress on implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district Reasi.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Babila Rakwal; ADDC, Jyoti Salathia; CPO, Sunita Kanchan; DDC/BDC members, PRIs representatives, President Municipal Committee Reasi, DFO, ACD Xens other District level committee members and officers/officials of Jal Shakti Department.
Speaking during the meeting, the Principal Secretary urged District Administration/officers to monitor all works regularly and ensure quality of works is maintained. He also emphasized upon the officers to remove bottlenecks, if any for timely completion of project.
The Principal Secretary asked the officers to involve people and specifically PRIs in the pre and post execution/management of schemes as the mission is community driven. He also stressed on the officers for monthly conduct of JJM meetings so as to take effective measures for timely completion of works.
Speaking during the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Reasi called for evaluation of the District Action Plan at regular intervals and directed for regular training of community members for better & effective results on ground .
During the meeting, Aa detailed presentation regarding progress of various works being implemented/ executed under JJM in the district was presented by SE hydraulic circle Udhampur-Reasi. It was informed that for Reasi district 118 ꜱchemes have been approved with revised DAP provision of Rs. 705.96 cr. It was also conveyed that 21 schemes are under execution and are at different stages of completion.
On the occasion, various demands/grievances of the contractors were also patiently heard by the Principal Secretary and the contractors were assured that these issues shall be taken up with the higher authorities for early redressal.
