Srinagar : Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
“Officers from PS Chandoosa under the supervision of SHO PS Chandoosa during routine checking at Jathar Chandoosa intercepted three persons. During search, officers were able to recover 06gms of Brown Sugar and 60gms of Charas like substance from their possession,” said a police spokesperson.
“They have been identified as Farooq Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Ahmad Wani resident of Kachwa, Mohd Rafiq Sheikh son of Ghulam Hassan Sheikh resident of Fatehgarh and Amir Ahmad Wani son of Abdul Gani Wani resident of Zandfaran. They have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody,” the spokesperson said.
“Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Chandoosa and investigation has been initiated,” he said.
