Srinagar|July,22 : Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Employees Joint Consultative Committee (EJCC) Aijaz Ahmad Khan has appealed Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary Dr A K Mehta to personally intervene for early release of pending GP Fund and gratuity dues of the employees.
In a statement issued on Friday Khan said that GP Fund and gratuity cases of thousands of employees including those in service and also those retiring from service are pending disposal are pending since April this year and employees are pending from pillar to post for the release of payments. Stating that employees and their families are facing financial hardship and unprecedented rise in prices of essential commodities Khan urged both Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and as well as Chief Secretary Dr A K Mehta to personally intervene and direct the concerned authorities to release GP Fund and gratuity dues besides other such payments concerning employees pending since April this year immediately on priority to mitigate the increasing suffering of the employees and their families. He said withholding hard earned dues to employees unnecessarily has upset thousand of employees and exuded confidence that urgent intervention of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and as well as Chief Secretary Dr A K Mehta would bring respite to thousands of employees hit by the prolonged delayed in disbursement of GP Fund and gratuity dues besides other such pending dues of the employees.
