DM asks officers to work with promptness, adopt problem-solving approach

Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal on Wednesday chaired a Public Grievances Redressal Camp organised as a part of weekly Block Diwas, here at PWD Dak Bunglow, Koteranka.
As per a press statement issued here, among others present on the occasion were BDC Budhal Old, Javed Iqbal Choudhary; ADDC Rajouri,Pawan Kumar Parihar, ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh, ADC Koteranka, Surinder Mohan Sharma; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SE Hydraulics, JP Singh; LDM, Jyoti Prakash; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; AD FCS&CA, Arif Lone, ARTO, Shami Kumar and other District and sectoral officers were present during the event.
During the event, the public and their representatives raised a number of issues and demands of their areas and moreover specific issues included completion of building of Govt. Degree college Koteranka, Completion of Anas canal irrigation project, meeting shortage of staff at CHC Koteranka, provision of Filtration Plant at Kandi, Outdoor stadium at Koteranka, repair of Dhar Sakri road, adequate staff in educational institutions etc.
Some more issues projected included implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission, meeting shortage of water, construction of sanitary complex at Koteranka, release of installments of houses constructed under PMAY, completion of Kha-Jamola-Marutha road, Grid Station at Kha Jamola to overcome the Power crisis.
Other demands including Completion of Bus stand at Koteranka, compensation to the flood affected families, removing bottlenecks for completion of various roads,repair of Mandargala to Tarkassi road, operationalization of solid waste management plant at Koteranka, SRTC bus service from Koteranka to Budhal etc.
Officers of different departments also briefed the public about the status of a number of schemes being implemented in the district besides motivating them to avail the benefits of different schemes. They also responded to the queries pertaining to their departments raised by the public during the event.
Responding to the issue of scarcity of water, the SE Hydraulics informed that as many as 35 schemes have been approved for the block under Jal Jeevan Mission.
The DDC gave a patient hearing to all the issues projected by the public during the event and assured them that all their genuine concerns would be redressed in a phased manner.
In his address, the DDC said that the District Administration is making untiring efforts to redress the genuine concerns of the public and sought the active cooperation of all the stakeholders in this regard.
He also said that effective measures are being taken for the inclusive, all-round and substantial development of all the areas of the district and much emphasis is being laid to push every sector to take the district to newer heights and new levels of prosperity.
While enumerating several Govt schemes and programs meant for the welfare of the general public, he urged the people to come forward and avail the benefits of the same.
Stating that close coordination between the frontline workers and public representatives is a must for the overall development of the region, he asked them to work in tandem for the prompt delivery of essential services and holistic and sustainable development of the region.
Highlighting various schemes of the Mission Youth, he also said that the government has launched a number of initiatives to meet the aspirations of youth so they can contribute to society and achieve self-growth.
He asked the concerned officers to publicize the schemes and their benefits so that the maximum number of target population could take benefits out of the schemes under mission youth.
While addressing the issues and demands of the general public, he assured the public that he will personally visit the site of land earmarked for construction of Government Degree college building.
He also exhorted the officers to take immediate measures to mitigate the problems of the people highlighted during the public outreach programme.
He also assured the public that all their grievances have been documented and the same would be redressed in a phased manner with the intervention of the concerned quarters.
The DDC asked the officers to work with utmost promptness and problem-solving approach. He asked the concerned officers to gear up field machinery and ensure that the difficulties of the people are addressed and resolved at the earliest.
