Absconder arrested in Jammu, weapon recovered: Police

Jammu:Police in Jammu’s Miran Sahib area arrested an absconder alongwith a weapon on Tuesday.
Police in an official statement said that an information was received at police station Miran Sahib regarding one absconder namely Pankaj Singh alias Panku alias Raja son of Gopal Singh resident of Kotil Mian Fateh, Miran sahib who was absconding in several different cases.
“Special police teams of PS Miran Sahib under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh were constituted,” the police said in a statement .
The police said that the team led by SHO PS Miran Sahib, Zaheer Mushtaq did strenuous efforts and finally arrested the above mentioned accused along with weapon, police further informed adding that the accused was a notorious criminal of desperate character having more than 10 cases registered against the said criminal including one murder case
