Kupwara : To discuss the rationalization of polling stations/ booths in Kupwara district, the District Election Officer (DEO) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir on Tuesday convened a meeting with representatives of various political parties, here.
As per a statement by the official spokesman, detailed deliberations were held over the proposed draft of polling stations to record comments of political parties for rectification.
The meeting was informed that the polling stations are being created keeping in view the convenience of the voters and must include all essential facilities and any new proposal by political parties that falls within the norms will be considered and approved.
Political Parties were also asked by the DEO to appoint Booth Level Agents at an earliest.
