DEO Kulgam holds meeting with representatives of pol parties

Kulgam : To discuss the rationalization of polling stations/booths in the district, the District Election Officer (DEO) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat on Monday convened a meeting with representatives of political parties at mini-secretariat, here.
As per a press statement issued here, during the meeting detailed deliberations were held over the proposed draft of polling stations to record comments of political parties for rectification.
The meeting was informed that the polling stations are being created keeping in view the convenience of the voters and must include all essential facilities and any new proposal by political parties that falls within the norms will be considered and approved.
Political Parties were also asked by the DEO to appoint Booth Level Agents at an earliest.
Among others present during the meeting were EROs, Showkat Ahmad Rather and Baseer Ul Haq, Dy-DEO Bilal Ahmad Kamgar, AEROs, and other concerned officers.
