DC Rajouri Reviews Arrangements For Budha Amarnath Yatra

Rajouri : Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal on Monday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the arrangements being put in place for the smooth conduct of ensuing Budha Amarnath Yatra, as per a press statement issued here.
Among the others, the meeting was attended by the ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; Addl SP, Vivek Shekhar; SE PWD (R&B), Nissar Hussain; ExEn PWD Rajouri, Maqbool Hussain; Exen Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed and other concerned officers.
Threadbare discussions was held on security arrangements, traffic management, provisions for power, safe drinking water, medical facilities, vehicle parking, transport facilities and other amenities for the pilgrims.
The DDC gave necessary instructions to the concerned departments with regard to their duties and responsibilities.
The PDD and Jal Shakti Departments were directed to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply at the Yatra grounds so that the Yatris don’t face any problems during Yatra.
The EO MC was asked to ensure cleanliness and sanitation at the venues, while the concerned officer from the fire and emergency department was directed to keep the fire tenders on alert during the day and night at Yatra grounds.
The DDC also instructed the concerned officer from the Health Department to keep available all the medicare facilities for the Yatris to meet any emergency. The concerned officers from the food safety and FCS&CA were directed to ensure that quality meals are served to the Yatris.
