DEO Pulwama holds meeting with representatives of Pol Parties

Pulwama : To discuss the rationalization of polling stations/booths, the District Election Officer (DEO) Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary Thursday convened a meeting with representatives of political parties at the mini-secretariat, here.
During the meeting, the DEO asked all political parties to go through the proposed draft of polling stations which was provided to them by the authorities and were asked to record comments for rectification in due course of time.
While addressing them, the DEO said that polling stations are a vital part of the electoral process, and the polling stations will be created keeping in view of the convenience of the voters and must include all essential facilities and added that any new proposal that falls within the norms will be considered and approved.
Political Parties were also asked to appoint Booth Level Agents and to submit the BLA list at an earliest through concerned AEROs.
Among others present during the meeting were Dy-DEO Pulwama, AEROs, Naib Tehsildar and other concerned.
