SAMBA: MP Jugal Kishore reviews implementation of CSSs at DISHA meeting

Samba :Member Parliament, Jammu-Poonch LokSabha constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma Wednesday chaired a meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee – DISHA to review the physical and financial achievements under the centrally sponsored schemes being implemented in the District Samba.
Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Anuradha Gupta gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the achievements and progress under different schemes and the status of the developmental projects being executed in the district by different agencies.
While giving details of the progress achieved by the Rural Development Department, the DC informed that under MGNREGA, out of 923 identified works, 643 were completed generating 420119 Mandays. She further informed that 34% achievement has been recorded for current FY under SBM(G), while a total 799 houses have been completed till date under PMAY (G) with the disbursement of all three installments.
The Deputy Commissioner Samba informed that 75 ponds have been identified under Amrit Sarovar and 24 works have been taken up as per the Portal.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that as many as 112 retrofitting schemes have been approved and tendered by the department under JalJeevan Mission to provide tap connection to 39817 households across 09 blocks of the district.
The MP sought details of steps taken to tackle water shortage in Samba town and directed the Executive Engineer to explore the possibility of construction of a filtration plant and ground water Scheme to provide clean drinking water to the locals. He also directed XEN JAL Shakti to keep alternatives available to meet emergency situations.
Regarding the Urban Development sector, it was said that out of 1170 sanctioned households under PMAY(U), the work on 446 stands completed and the rest are at different phases of execution.
It was informed that Additional block being constructed at a cost of Rs 10.25 crore in the District Hospital Samba under PMDP is at finishing stage and will be commissioned shortly. Under Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Golden Cards have been issued to 2,03,201 (80%), while 434 patients have availed benefits for amount 10,76,849, the meeting was told.
While reviewing the measures being taken to ensure the uninterrupted power supply in the District, financial as well as physical achievements under PMDP(U), IPDS, DDUGJY, PMDP-R, PMDP-I, RAPDRP were reviewed.
Reviewing the working of the Health and Medical Education Department, he directed the Chief Medical Officer to ensure that every household was covered under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
While reviewing Social welfare Schemes, it was informed that 821 Anganwadi Centres are functional in the district with 18666 registered beneficiaries, while 3643 persons are provided assistance under Various pension schemes. Similarly, 30563 beneficiaries have received the first installment under PM KISAN SAMMAN NIDHI.
Likewise, 254 property cards have been issued under SVAMITVA Scheme.
The Member Parliament also reviewed PMUY, PM-SurakshaBimaYojana, PM-JJBY, Mudra Yojana, Jan DhanYojana, Atal Pension Yojana, and other sectors and schemes of centrally sponsored schemes.
The MP asked the concerned officers to put in extra efforts for effective implementation of all the centrally sponsored schemes at ground level and to benefit the targeted sections.
The MP said that the central government is making relentless efforts in ensuring J&K development is at par with other states. He said development works have been sanctioned by the government without any delay. “Samba district is witnessing unprecedented development be it in infrastructure, in medical health institutions, inroads, in expressways, in highways & bridges, etc” added MP. Rural as well as Urban development in present dispensation are finding equal pace of development said MP
Later, the Member Parliament also reviewed and discussed the Action Taken Report on the decisions taken in the previous meeting in presence of DISHA Committee members.
