Mega Block Diwas held at 3 blocks of Kulgam

DC listens to people at D H Pora, redresses scores of issues on spot

K’gam :The District Administration Kulgam Wednesday organized Mega Block Diwas in three blocks of the district viz. Devsar, Kulgam and D. H.Pora to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.
The programme witnessed overwhelming response of People who highlighted their issues and grievances for redressal.
Meanwhile to take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.BilalMohi-Ud-Din Bhat presided over the grievance redressal camp at D.H.Pora during which he listened to grievances and issues of people for redressal.
PRI members and officers from District Administration were also present during the Block Diwas.
On the occasion, people from Ahmadabad, Koursarbal, D.K.Marg, Nandimarg, Yarikhah, Boh, Dainipora, D.H.Pora, Bangward, Gujjarpora, Khull and other areas apprised the DC about their issues and grievances for timely redressal.
A delegation from Ahmadabad demanded establishment of a Veterinary centre and augmentation of teaching staff at high-school. They also demanded completion of pending work at the health centre.
Another delegation from Yarikhah demanded repairs of DainiporaChekinagam road. Besides, people from D H Pora demanded construction of flood protection bund at river Kandow.
Similarly, people from several other areas also flagged-off various demands and issues for early redressal.
Officers on the spot responded to the queries and demands of people pertaining to their departments.
The DC after giving patient hearing to the public addressed some of the immediate nature of grievances on the spot. He directed the concerned officers of R&B to complete the pending work on the health centre building at Ahmadabad.
The DC also directed the officers to ensure early redressal of grievances and issues of people.
ADC, ACR, SDM-Noorabad, ACD, Tehsildar, BDO and other officers were also present in the grievance redressal camp.
Meanwhile, grievances redressal camps were also held at Block Devsar and Kulgam where officers remained available to listen and redress the issues and grievances of people.
