Ujjwal Bharat, Ujjwal Bhavishya Week:DC Srinagar finalizes Plan of activities to be held in the Distt

Srinagar :In connection with observing Ujjwal Bharat, UjjwalBhavishya Power@ 2047 week under AzadiKa Amrit Mahotsav, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar Mohammad Aijaz Asad Wednesday chaired an Officers meeting at Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex here to discuss and finalize the plan of activities.
Besides, Chief Engineer, Distribution KPDCL, JaviadYousuf Dar and Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Faz-lul-Haseeb, the meeting was attended by Chief Planning officer, Superintending Engineer, KPDCL, Principal SP College, Assistant Commissioner Panchayats, District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Executive Engineers of Electric Division Ist& IV, Deputy Director, Culture Department, Nodal Officer NHPC and other concerned.
On the occasion, the DC called for concerted efforts from all the concerned Departments in ensuring successful celebration of the ‘Ujjwal Bharat UjjwalBhavishya’-Power @2047.
He said the weeklong programme will showcase the achievements in the power sector, including the renewable energy sector, to the public.
During the meeting, it was informed that KPDCL and NHPC would organise a series of activities in the district to showcase the achievements made in the power sector in the last 75 years (Ujjwal Bharat UjjwalBhavishya Program) under the Azadika Amrit Mahotsav.
The DC directed the concerned to make all arrangements to organise different activities between July 25 and July 31 on the theme to highlight the schemes, efforts and achievements of the Department.
The DC also directed for making all preparations regarding organizing Cultural programmes and NukkadNataks on the theme and film on consumer rights to be showcased at the selected venues. It was decided that one event will be held covering Khanyar and South Tehsil area to highlight the GIS Station constructed at Khanyar which is first of its kind in terms of Technology demonstration.
Another major event will be held in a rural area to reflect upon the beneficiary outreach and coverage given to individual Households under various centrally sponsored schemes.
