Govt PG College for Women organises seminar on “Career in Software Industry for Fresher”

Jammu :Department of Computer Applications Government PG College for Women Gandhi Nagar, in collaboration with IQAC & NSS organized a seminar on “Career in Software Industry for Fresher”.
The program was held under the patronage of the College Principal Prof.Minu Mahajan.
She delivered the welcome address and congratulated the organizing Committee for hosting the informative seminar on the topic Career in Software Industry for Fresher. She applauded the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India and Higher Education Department J&K for implementing the scheme called “Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C)” to deal with cybercrime in a coordinated and comprehensive manner.
Further, she stressed upon the students to participate actively in these types of activities which will make them aware and safe from cybercrimes and help them to choose career in software industry.
Er. Sachin Padha, was the resource person in the seminar.
In his talk, he deliberated about different computer languages and their scope in software industry. He discussed and made the students aware about the scope of web programming. He made special mention about c++ computer language and PHP-a widely used open source scripting language and how to find a career in these.
The staff and students of the College actively participated in the seminar. A total of 286 students attended the seminar in the college auditorium.
The event was organized by the committee constituted for Cyber Jaagrokta (Awareness) Diwas which includes Prof.Rohit Gupta (Nodal Officer), member’s viz. Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dr.Javaid Iqbal, Prof.MamtaKundal, Prof.Rajinder Kumar and Prof.Poonam. Prof.MamtaKundal coordinated the whole programme and Dr.Javaid Iqbal delivered the formal vote of thanks. The technical support for the event was provided by the Department of Computer Applications.
