Nowshera Forest Divn conducts plantation drives in Sunderbani

Rajouri :A series of plantation drives under Van Mahostav were held here by Sunderbani Forest Range. A mega plantation drive was held at Thandapani in which Member DDC Sunderbani, Rajinder Sharma was the Chief Guest. Additional Deputy Commissioner, VinodBanyal was the Guest of Honour at the occasion.
Fruit trees, medicinal and other plants were planted by the dignitaries on the occasion. Members of Panchayat Raj Institution along with prominent citizens also participated in the plantation drive.
Speaking on the occasion Rajinder Sharma called for regular plantation drives to increase green cover. Range Officer Sunderbani, RakeshVerma also appealed to the participants to come forward and join hands with the Forest Department for conducting similar drives in the future.
In another drive held at Channi Prat temple, Chairman Block Development Council Siot, Bal Krishan Sharma along with PRI members, members of MandirSamiti and other locals participated in similar drive.
One more plantation drive was held at Marchola where SarpanchMarchola, SukhdevKour was the Chief Guest. She also participated along with locals in plantation drive.
Govt Higher Secondary School Baja Bain also hosted a plantation drive in which Additional Deputy Commissioner, VinodBaniyal participated as the Chief Guest. Station House Officer Sunderbani, Shiv Dev Singh and Principal GHSS Baja Bain remained guests of honour at the event.
