DC Srinagar reviews follow up on LG’s directions on arrangements at Hazratbal Dargah on Eid-ul-Azha

Srinagar :The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad on Thursday chaired a meeting of Officers of the line Departments in the Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex, here to review the implementation of the directions of the Lieutenant Governor issued regarding arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha during his visit to Hazratbal Shrine.
The meeting was held in the back drop of the visit of Lieutenant Governor to DargahHazratbal Thursday morning, during which he issued numerous directions including putting in place arrangements for adequate and uninterrupted supply of electricity and water, proper cleanliness & sanitation and other required measures at the Shrine on Eid-ul-Azha.The Lt Governor has also directed for making dysfunctional fountains at the Shrine functional before Eid so that the devotees expected to offer Eid prayers at Hazrabal Shrine get the best view of the Dal.
He also imparted certain directions as long term measures like draining out rain water, beautification works, etc.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, FazlulHaseeb, Joint Commissioner, SMC, Chief Planning Officer, Superintending Engineer Hydraulic, Executive Engineers of R&B, PHE, KPDCL, UEED, Drainage Circle, Tehsildar& Eidgah, Secretary LCMA, AD FCS&CA, AD Tourism and other concerned, besides Chief Executive Officer, Wakaf Board.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed all directions point wise and asked the concerned officers and executing agencies to expedite the assigned works so that directions are accomplished before auspicious festivities of the Eid-ul-Azha.
The DC also enjoined upon the officers and concerned executing agencies to work in coordinated manner to ensure all arrangements are made well before Eid-ul-Azha.
