DDC reviews drinking water supply scenario in Rajouri

Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal Saturday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the drinking water supply scenario in the district.
Officers who attended the meeting included CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SE Hydraulics, JP Singh; ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed; ExEn Jal Shakti Mechanical Rajouri, Manmohan Singh and other concerned officers.
While reviewing the requirement and available drinking water supply, the DDC asked for proper maintenance of all the installations with timely repair of the motors and other equipment, besides regular water testing to provide safe drinking water to all the households of the district while strictly adhering to the supply schedules.
He asked the functionaries to identify the areas facing acute shortage of water and start tanker supply to meet the paucity.
“Make every effort to ameliorate the hardships of people in summers, and ensure time-bound redressal of the genuine concerns regarding water and power supply” he directed the Department. The field staff was directed to undertake field visits to listen to public issues
