DC Reasi reviews arrangements for Eid-ul-Adha

Reasi : To review the arrangements for the upcoming festival of Eid-ul-Adha, a meeting of all Sectoral/Zonal Officers was held Saturday here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Reasi Babila Rakwal.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner took a Department wise review of the arrangements being put in place for smooth celebrations of the Eid-ul-Adha festivities in the District. She also took stock of the rates fixed by the Government and notified points for selling sacrificial animals.
The DC passed directions to the Departments to make elaborate measures well in advance for smooth celebrations of the auspicious festival.
The DC directed the Assistant Director FCS&CA to complete the process of Ration distribution before Eid so that people do not face any difficulty in this regard. She directed the officers to intensify the market checking and ensure all commodities including meat, chicken bakery and sweets are sold at Government fixed rates, besides ensuring availability of all essential supplies in the market to avoid hoardings and profiteering.
The DC directed the Municipal authorities to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness at all the places particularly around prominent Ziyarats and Masjids besides ensuring proper functioning of all street lights.
