Implementation of Social welfare, ICDs Schemes reviewed in Poonch

Poonch : Additional District Development Commissioner, Poonch, Abdul Sattar Saturday reviewed the progress of Central and UT level Schemes being implemented by the Social Welfare and ICDS here at a meeting held in the conference Hall Of DC Complex Poonch.
The ADDC took Scheme wise review of achievements including Pension under ISSS & NSAP, pre-Matric and post-Matric Scholarship, Scholarship Schemes for minority students, Nutrition, PMAY, Aadhar seeding of students, Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign, SMAS, provision of Motorized tricycles, Wall painting, SAKSHAM Sascam, Functioning of Mahila Shakti Kendra, One Stop Centre , Integrated Child Protection Scheme vise Child Welfare Committee, Juvenile Justice Board, etc.
District Programme Officer, Dr. Mohammad Tanveer briefed about the schemes being implement by ICDS Department namely Supplementary Nutrition Programme, Pardan Mantri Matru Vandan Yojana, Poshan Abhiyan, Adaar enrollment of eligible beneficiaries and their seeding, holding of camps for identification of Malnourished Children’, Wasted Children, lactating women, pregnant ladies and adolescent girls, achievement under deliverables with focus on achieving 100% target under each Schemes at grassroots level.
District Social Welfare Officer, Adil Shabir (JKAS), informed that 55790 eligible persons under ISSS & 6929 under NSAP are getting pension in the district.
He further informed that a list of 2000 students eligible for pre-matric scholarship under SC/OBC category have been sent to the authorities for sanction and disbursement of scholarship.
He further said that the sanctioning of pre-matric scholarship for eligible students under SC/OBC category has been discussed with the Chief Education Officer so that the scholarship for the current financial year could be disbursed among the students well in time. The ADDC stressed on 100% coverage of all eligible students and asked the DSWO to get a certificate from CEO /Head of institutions so that no eligible student of the school is left out of scholarship benefits.
While reviewing the National Social Assistance Scheme ( NSAP) and Integrated Social Security (ISSS) scheme, the DDC advised for 100% Aadhar seeding and weeding out of undeserving persons to provide the benefit to eligible beneficiaries.
The meeting was apprised that 72% Aadhaar seeding has been completed in case of pension schemes. The Chair asked the District Social Welfare Officer to complete the Addhar seeding of the beneficiaries under all schemes before 30th of July 2022.
Among others, the meeting was attended by District Programme Officer, ICDS, Dr. Mohammad Tanveer, District Social Welfare Officers, Adil Shabir, CDPO’s ,TSWO’s, MSK, ICPS, OSC and other staff of the ICDS / Social Welfare Department were present.
