DECC organises Job fair, awareness prog at Udhampur

Udhampur :The District Employment & Counselling Centre Udhampur Thursday organized a one day Job Fair/Awareness Programme in the office premises here on Thursday.
The companies M/S Agrico Organics Ltd, M/S National Packing Industries, M/S Domino’s Pizza, M/S Rajshree Automobiles Pvt. Ltd and M/S Fair Deal participated in the Job fair which provided a common platform for job seekers and job providers (private sector).
Over 400 un-employed youth from different corners of district Udhampur participated in the Job Fair.
Speaking on the occasion, Priyanka Gupta, Assistant Director Employment, impressed upon the youth to avail the opportunity of Job Fair & reap the benefit of different self-employment schemes offered by different government departments. The Employment Department has ensured to organize such fairs quarterly, where on the spot registration of job seekers is also being done.
Earlier, RaghubirGandotra, Executive Member &Ravinder Thakur, Executive Member (Industrial Area BattalBallian) Udhampur gave a detailed account of the terms & conditions and nature of the Job being provided to the youth. They also elaborated on the working of Industries and contribution in providing jobs to the local un-employed youth.
