DC Srinagar reviews status of providing Online Public Services and integration with RAS platform

DIGILOCKER platform shall be the gamechanger: DC

Srinagar :In order to review the status of providing Online Public Services and integration with Rapid Assessment System (RAS) platform, a meeting of all Zonal/Sectoral Officers was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad here Thursday at Meeting Hall of the DC office Complex.
Besides, Additional District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Zahoor Ahmad Mir, the meeting was attended by Joint Commissioner, SMC, Deputy Director Employment, Chief Planning Officer, Superintending Engineers of KPDCL, Hydraulic Circle Srinagar, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, , Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Medical Officer, District Mineral Officer, District Social Welfare Officer and other officers from FCS&CA, Horticulture, Education, Labour, PCB, Legal Metrology, Urban Forestry, Tourism, Excise and other concerned Departments.
At the outset, the DC reviewed the status of different schemes being implemented in the District through online mode and thier integration with Rapid Assessment System (RAS), a user-friendly digital feedback mechanism that enables citizens to provide effective feedback on the services provided to them through SMS and weblink, thereby enhancing transparency and accountability.
The DC said Government has started 184 online services of 25 Departments which have been taken up for integration with the Rapid Assessment System (RAS) with an aim to provide a trigger-based digital reach-out to citizens seeking feedback on the quality of services availed by them.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner asked all the concerned Sectoral/Zonal officers to designate Nodal Officers for online public services to periodically monitor and coordinate with the concerned Departments to link all online services with RAS platform.
The DC also directed for holding a sensitization cum capacity building workshops for awareness of the Departments and other concerned stakeholders.
The DC also took a Department wise progress regarding Online Public Services and integration with RAS platform.
He exhorted upon the District officers to create mass awareness about the online services platforms including DIGILOCKER, UMANG and RAS so that the people take the benefit of the same.
During the meeting, a detailed overview about the function of the RAS platform was given through a PowerPoint presentation. It was stated that RAS is the Departments are also provided a graphical user interface (GUI) for assessing the feedback from citizens and incorporating suitable changes to further enhance efficiency in the service delivery mechanism.
The DC called for expansion of the RAS platform to cover more services from all Departments in a time-bound manner. He said one of the purposes of RAS is to provide IT-enabled delivery of public services to make the system prompt, efficient, and effective towards a better public delivery system.
