Srinagar: In order to develop the border areas/villages, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) GoI has selected two villages from J&K under Vibrant Village program, KanzalwanNayil in Bagtore block of Gurez and Chandoosa Baramulla for comprehensive development of the villages.
In this regard, Centre has directed all ministries to make concerted and coordinated action plans for comprehensive development of border villages. For the development of MSMEs, a visit was carried out by SaheelAlaqband from the Ministry of MSME along with the Officers from NRLM, KVIB, DIC and Handicrafts and Handlooms department to KanzalwanNayil village.
The concerned BDO was also present during the meeting held with the villager community represented by DDC Member, BDC, Sarpanch and Panch.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora provided all possible support in this regard.
During the meeting , Assistant Director (AD), Ministry of MSME stressed that the village needs to be developed and results must be seen on ground, therefore all concerned departments should start doing awareness campaign with regard to different schemes/avenues available, look for possible forward and backward linkages with regards to business opportunities and also should implement schemes in the village .
The discussion on scope for the promotion of the village as a tourism village with creation of camping sites at different spots was also held. Skill development courses will also be started soon in the Village. DIC and KVIB may explore options by providing assistance through the PMEGP Scheme.
All departments were requested to chart out the action plan so that the comprehensive plan for enterprise development will be submitted to the Ministry of MSME. The senior Officers will monitor the performance of the Village on a monthly basis.
Meetings were also held with SHGs of NRLM and awareness about avenues available was discussed.
During the meeting, villagers raised many issues like lack of proper power facility, acute shortage of manpower in health centres despite good infrastructure available, no macdemization of roads in the village for many years, transportation etc which needs focus from the concerned departments.
The officer nominated by the ministry ensured that all possible steps with regards to enterprise development will be taken up as part of a vibrant village program.
