DDC Kishtwar reviews arrangements for Annual Shri Machail Mata Yatra 2022

DM asks stakeholder deptts to put in place all facilities well before yatra begins

Kishtwar: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar Ashok Sharma Friday chaired a meeting of the district and sectoral officers here at conference Hall DC office complex Kishtwar to review the arrangements being put in place for smooth conduct of Annual Machail Mata Yatra in district Kishtwar.
The meeting was attended by SSP KishtwarShafkat Hussain Bhat; ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal; ACR KishtwarVarunjeet Singh Charak; SDM Paddar Rishi Kumar; ACD KishtwarAtulDutt Sharma; DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal, besides Officers from Army, GREF, PHE, Health, Municipality, DFCO, JPDCL, PWD, PMGSY besides other concerned.
At the outset, the DDC Kishtwar inquired about the overall progress in development infrastructure in the Shrine area.
Reviewing annual Yatra arrangements, it was informed that varied works have been initiated for development of basic facilities, roads, power supply, buildings, improvement of communication services etc in the Shrine area and the en-route.
The arrangements for registration of pilgrims, tentage facility, lungar facility, accommodation facility, constitution of grievance cells for pilgrims, fuel stockage, protection of bridle path, drinking water supply, cleanliness in and around the Shrine were also reviewed in the meeting.
It was further informed that 16 KM PMGSY road has been completed from GulabGarhPadder to Kundail to make the pilgrimage smooth and safe.
Regarding the power supply facility, the JPDCL Authorities informed that a dedicated feeder has been installed for the Shrine area to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during the Yatra days, besides other logistics like generator-set have been kept ready to augment the power supply during Yatra time.
After threadbare discussions, the DDC Kishtwar passed necessary directions to concerned officers. He asked them to work in coordinated and collaborative manner to ensure smooth and hassle free conduct of Annual Shri Machail Mata Yatra.
Meanwhile, the SSP informed the meeting that 14 security zones have been created en-route Machail area to ensure safe journey of pilgrims.
During the meeting, the CMO Kishtwar and other concerned officers were directed to provide medical and other essential services by deploying adequate staff and resources at designated places.
The ARTO was asked to devise a comprehensive traffic plan including the parking facility for the smooth and hassle free journey of pilgrims.
SDM Paddar was instructed to monitor the arrangements in coordination with civil and police administration and inform the District headquarter on a daily basis.
