Signature campaign against Child Labour launched at Kulgam

K’gam: To mobilize public support towards eradication of child labour in the society, Integrated Child Protection Services Kulgam in collaboration with Labour Department Thursday conducted a signature campaign here as part of weeklong child labour elimination drive .
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam Dr.Bilal-Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat launched the signature campaign.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz; Assistant Commissioner Development, Mohmmad Imran Khan; Assistant Labour Commissioner, Dr Adnan Tariq and other senior officers also joined this signature campaign.
District Child Protection Officer Kulgam, SnoberAltaf said that the campaign aims to aware communities about the negative consequences of child labour and seek the support of the Civil Society for its eradication.
Highlighting the need for community participation, she appealed to the public to participate in the Government’s efforts to eradicate the child labour in the district.
