DDC Kulgam chairs DLRC meet, reviews performance of banks, line deptt’s

K’gam: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Thursday chaired District Level Review Committee Meeting/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) meeting to review the performance of banks and line departments for quarter Q4 of financial year ending March 31, 2022 under Annual credit Plan (ACP).
LDM Arshad Qadri welcomed the members and apprised the chair that deposits of Banks stand at Rs 2253.75 Crores as on 31.03.2022 witnessing growth of 8.16 percent over March 2021, Advances stand at Rs.1745.89 cr as on 31.03.2022 witnessing growth of 8.85 percent over March 2021. The Credit Deposit Ratio at 77.47 percent stood quite above the National BenchMark of 60 percent.
Under the District Annual Credit Plan (2021-22) of Rs.1398.24 Cr, Banks have disbursed Rs.1119.99 Cr to 48776 beneficiaries for FY 31.03.2022 thus achieving 80 percent of ACP target.
The meeting was informed by the LDM that the district has over-achieved/achieved the annual targets of PMEGP, JKREGP, Artisans/ Weavers Credit Card and PM Weavers Mudra Scheme. The district has sponsored 119 vehicles till date under Mumkin Scheme and sponsored 46 Tejaswini cases till date.
DDC while reviewing sector wise achievements instructed Banks to improve credit dispensations in Agriculture, MSME, and more focus should be given to housing and education sectors.
The District Development Commissioner also impressed upon both the line departments and banks to improve direct financing in order to achieve the set targets of the Annual Credit Plan.
He impressed upon all concerned to cover all eligible persons under PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY.
The DDC directed the Chief Education Officer and bank authorities to conduct financial awareness programmes in the schools.
It was also decided that a monthly review meeting shall be conducted in order to monitor the progress under priority sector lending.
At the outset of the meeting two minute silence was observed to pay homage to the bank manager, Vijay Kumar who was martyred while on duty at Arreh EDB bank branch Kulgam.
Meeting was attended by CPO, DDM NABARD, CEO, and District Officers of line departments besides District Coordinators of various banks.
