DDC Kupwara reviews progress of developmental projects executed by J&K Housing Board

Kupwara: The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir Tuesday convened a meeting of concerned officers, here to review the progress of various development projects being executed by J&K Housing Board, besides the progress of PMAY (U) Housing Scheme.
The meeting held threadbare discussion and the DDC received work wise status of various ongoing projects executed by JK Housing Board.
Regarding construction of AYUSH Hospital at Kulangam being constructed at a cost of Rs.732 lakh, the DDC directed the DGM Housing Board to complete the hospital in all respects by the end of current financial year and handover the same to AYUSH department for further use.
Reviewing the progress of Primary Health Centre, Kalaroose, costing Rs.189 lakh, the DGM was directed to ensure its completion by the end of Current fiscal.
Regarding the progress of PHC Diver, the meeting was informed that the PHC was approved under NABARD with Administrative Approval of Rs 298 lacs and is under execution through J&K Housing Board and the DGM was directed to ensure its completion by end of current financial years in all respects.
It was informed that the PHC Nowgam, approved under languishing projects, is progressing at a cost of Rs 250 lacs. The DDC fixed a timeline to complete the project by the end of August.
The DDC also reviewed the progress of Sub Centre Lachampora, Sarmarg, Shumriyal and Khumriyal and fixed the timeline for completion of the projects.
Reviewing the progress of Health & Wellness Centres, the DGM was directed to complete all pending works within 15 days as per already fixed timelines.
Regarding BADP works, the DDC directed the concerned officers to complete the balance work of ongoing 5 BADP works by ending September 2022.
The DDC also reviewed the status of PMAY (U) schemes in all 3 Municipalities of the district implemented by the Housing Board. It was informed that 463 houses have been completed.
JD Planning, DGM Housing Board Kupwara, DS&EO and other concerned attended the meeting.
