GCW Udhampur hosts quiz competition to mark World Music Day

Udhampur: To commemorate World Music Day, Department of Music, Government College for Women(GCW) Udhampur Tuesday organized an inter-collegiate online quiz contest under Shikshit Bharat.
The programme was organized under the guidance of the College Principal Prof. (Dr) Monika Sharma.
The Principal lauded the efforts of the Department for organizing the event of great importance in the college. She said that the contest has enabled the students to explore their hidden talent on a common platform which would help them in building self-confidence. She urged for hosting more such programmes in future.
As many as 57 students from different Colleges participated in the contest with great enthusiasm. Neesha of Semester 6th, student GCW Udhampur, Radhika Sharma of Semester 4th, GCW Udhampur, MehakManhas of Semester 4th, GCW Udhampur, AnushkaSurmal of Semester 4th Bhaskar Degree College Udhampur, Kiran Devi of Semester 2nd GCW Udhampur, Manat Singh of Semester 2nd Bhaskar Degree College Udhampuretc clinched the quiz contest.
Bhumika of semester 4th GCW Udhampur, DikshaKhokar of semester 6th GCW Udhampur, Seema Devi of Semester 2nd GCW Udhampur, Tanu of semester 2nd GDC Kathua, Shilpa Sharma Sem 4th GCW Udhampur, Nidhi of Sem 6th Bhaskar Degree College, Jermey Mark Sandhu of Sem 6th Bhaskar Degree College, Vishali Devi andParijatMagotra of Sem4th GCW were declared as best performers.
The department of Music also distributed Certificates among the position holders as well as participants.
Earlier, Head of Department of Music, Dr.Seema Sharma gave brief resume of the activities being carried out by the Music Department from time to time.
Assistant Professor Yash Kumar and Assistant Professor Dr. Sanjay Kumar coordinated the event.
