Rajouri Admin hosting Sufi Mushaira as part of Sufi festival, DC finalises arrangements

Rajouri: To promote and conserve rich Sufi traditions and heritage, District Administration Rajouri is going to organize a Sufi Mushaira/cultural events as a part of Sufi festival on 11th June at Ziarat Sharif and GDC Rajouri.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner, VikasKundal Thursday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to discuss and finalize the arrangements for the event.
Officers present in the meeting included ASP, VivekShekhar; SDM Thanamandi, VikasDhar; Dy CMO, Dr AneesAltafNabi; District Culture Officer, Dr Alam Dar; ExEnJal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed; ExEn PDD Rajouri, Mohd Hasan and other concerned officers.
The DDC highlighted the objective of the Sufi festival and said that the festival aims to celebrate the rich culture and wonderful teachings of Sufism, its practices and Sufi literature and music.
“The Government is committed to promote the iconic role of Rishis and Sufi saints and disseminate the message of peace and syncretic traditions” he said.
While finalizing the arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Mushaira event, the DC called upon the concerned officers to work in coordination and cohesion for smooth and successful conduct of the event.
He also emphasized making all the requisite arrangements well in advance.
