Srinagar: Chairman Jammu & Kashmir People’s Democratic Front (J&K PDF ) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has greeted people especially Kashmiri pandits on the auspicious occasion of Annual Mela Kheer Bhawani.
Hakeem while extending warm greetings said that the auspicious religious festival represents the glorious and centuries old ethos of Hindu Muslim brotherhood and religious harmony in Jammu and Kashmir. ” Communal harmony and brotherhood is the hallmark of rich traditions of the ethos and composite culture of Kashmir perfectly presented by the annual festival of Mela Kheer Bhawani ,” Hakeem maintained while urging for safegaurding and preserving this pios relationship from the evil eye of vested interests. He said Kashmiri pandits are a part of our pluralistic culture adding that the distinctive pluralistic culture of Kashmir was incomplete without Kashmiri pandit brethren. He said Festive occasions like Mela Kheer Bhawani invigorate and further the cause of brotherhood and amity in the valley while cautions the people against nefarious designs of the enemies of peace and harmony. He cautioned that repeated efforts were being made by the fringe elements to weaken the bonds of love and respect between muslims and Kashmiri pandit brethren but exuded confidence that the cultured people of Jammu and Kashmir would defeat all such evil designs.
