Rajouri: Intensifying its efforts to crack a whip on illegal mining in the district, the Geology and Mining Department has seized a heavy excavator, a JCB and two dumpers in Nowshera and Khawas areas.
The special teams of the Geology and mining department constituted on the directions of the District Development Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal conducted raids at different locations to curb illegal mining practices in the district and seized a heavy excavator, a JCB and two dumpers in Nowshera and Khawas area.
The District Mineral Officer, NaseebBajrang reiterated that the drive launched against such practices will continue with more vigour and force till involved persons refrain from exercising these illegal activities.
He has also warned people not to indulge in illegal mining activities, adding that the act is the violation of Government rules and any offence in this regard shall be dealt seriously as per law.
