DEO Doda discusses rationalization of polling stations, emerging issues post Delimitation

Doda : District Election Officer Doda (DEO) Vikas Sharma Tuesday discussed rationalization of polling stations and other issues requiring attention, consequent upon Delimitation of constituencies.
The meeting was attended by ACR SanjeevKumar; Deputy District Election Officer Akhter HussainQazi; SDM Thathri, SDM Gandoh, SDM Assar, and all the Tehsildars of the district.
The DEO directed the EROs and AEROs to submit the detailed proposal for reallocation of polling stations strictly as per the norms set by the Election Authorities. He stressed on the rationalization of polling stations and verification of minimum assured facilities thereat. He further sought a detailed report on modifications/ up-gradations required.
The DEO asked the EROs and AEROs to carry out verification and give their suggestions, if any, within seven days to facilitate appropriate action as per the ECI guidelines and to submit the proposals for rationalization of Polling Stations to the concerned authorities.
