Annual amaranth Yatra arrangements reviewed at B’pora

B’pora : Ahead of shriAmarnathJi Yatra 2022, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr.Owais Ahmed Saturday chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements put in place by various departments at Transit Camp Sumbal.
The DC reviewed department wise arrangements and sought feedback from the concerned.
It was intimated during the meeting by the concerned district heads of departments that all arrangements for electrification of transit camp site as well as all repair and renovation work is complete and the work on new infrastructures is near completion.
The DC asked the ACP to ensure installation of signages and hoardings well in time.
The DC said district administration has also put in place arrangements for installation of stalls by the Agriculture Department and NRLM. He instructed SDM Sumbal to regularly monitor progress of works at the transit camp for proper implementation of the designated plan for successful Yatra.
The DC also discussed the requirement of other facilities like accommodation, barricading, installation of technical equipment and water supply at the campsite.
The provision of cleanliness, sanitation, hygiene and medical facilities at the transit camp was also discussed in the meeting.
District Programme Officer ICDS Mohammad Ashraf Hakak (Nodal Officer, Yatra), Assistant Commissioner Panchayat (ACP) Syed AltafHussainMosavi, Chief Agriculture officer Bandipora, BDO Bandipora and other senior officers of district attended the meeting.
Sub Divisional Magistrate SumbalDr. Bashir Ahmad Lone, Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Ex. Engineer KPDCL Sumbal, AEE JalSakhtiSumbal and other concerned also attended the meeting virtually.
