DFCO team inspects medical shops in Doda

Doda : The enforcement team of Food Safety DFCO Doda conducted massive market checking drive across the District to ensure implementation of Food Safety and Standards Act.
The team checked the Chemist Shops for the valid possessions of licenses/registration under Food Safety & Standards Act.
During the special drive, the Enforcement team inspected more than 30 Establishments. Two chemist shops found without Registrations/licenses under FSS Act were booked under the relevant section of the Act. Moreover, two samples of Food supplements/ Neutraceticals were lifted for analysis to ensure availability of Safe, Pure & standard products for the Consumers and public in General.
The Chemists were directed to keep the products away from direct Sunlight and to observe the regulations about DOP & Expiry date & Best Before date for Consumers’ Safety.
During the drive, the Chemist fraternity was asked to keep the proper bills of consignments of purchased products & also provide printed vouchers to the buyers.
Besides, all the Chemist Shop owners have been advised to display the Registrations/licenses at prominent/visible places of their establishments.
