Srinagar| May,26 : Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Front (J&K PDF) Hakeem Mohammed Yaseen on Thursday called upon the Central Government particularly Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to drop charges against JKLF Chairman Mohammad Yaseen Malik on which he has been sentenced life imprisonment to show bigger heart for forgiveness and reconciliation the values for which India our country is known as biggest democracy of the world . He reminded both the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah that had ballot not been misused for conducting farcical elections for 70 long years the bullet won’t have made hangings, killings and life imprisonments the fate of Kashmiris and Kashmiri Pandits won’t have also migrated to Jammu and several other parts of the country.
In a statement issued here on Thursday Hakeem impressed upon the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to drop charges against the JKLF Chairman Mohammad Yaseen Malik to show bigger heart for forgiveness and reconciliation for which India our country has got the title of the biggest democracy of the world.
Reminding Prime Minister and the Home that “misuse of ballot for farcical elections not only ruined the future of Kashmir but also reduced the fate of Kashmiris to hangings, killings and life imprisonments” Hakeem said “ballot is the only solution to resolution of all conflicts in Jammu and Kashmir” .
He appealed both the Prime Minister and the Home Minister to shun the policy of previous central governments on Jammu and Kashmir to end the endless tale of hangings and life imprisonments and instead give the ballot the sanctity it deserves for making welfare, peace progress and prosperity the fate of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Stating that grave blunders of few regimes have spoiled generations together in Kashmir Hakeem expressed the hope that the incumbent Central Government would restore the faith of people in ballot and show a humanistic approach towards those who have become casualties of the conflicts of both the ballot and bullet created by those who ruled Jammu and Kashmir for long spells during last seventy years.
