Mega Block Diwas held at Kulgam, DC presides over grievance redressal camp at D.K.Marg

K’gam : Taking governance at the door steps of people in far-off areas and to mitigate their issues and grievances, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Wednesday visited far-flung D. K. Marg area where he presided over a grievance redressal camp and listened to grievances and issues of people for redressal.
The grievance redressal camp witnessed massive public response with scores of delegations from D.K.Marg and its adjoining areas including Nagam, Boh, Chimmer, Gulzarabad, Ringeth, Nandimarg, Badijahalan and other areas participating in the camp and flagging-off their issues to the Deputy Commissioner for timely redressal.
At the outset, ACD Kulgam, Mohammad Imran Khan briefed the participants about the action taken on the grievances and issues registered in previous Block Diwas.
A youth Delegation from village Ringeth demanded Playfield in the village and the DC issued on spot direction to Patwari to demarcate identified land for playfield in the village.
People from Nagam raised demands for development of various link roads besides augmentation of power transformers.
A Delegation from Kutamarg demanded deployment of more teaching staff to school and also demanded augmentation of staff at unani health centre.
People for chimmer demanded a bank branch in the village and installation of additional street lights near ziyaratshareef.
Various other demands of public importance and developmental nature pertaining to these areas were raised by the people during this Grievances redressal camp and all the issues and grievances were listened to patiently by the DC and scores of issues were also redressed on spot.
The DC said that the District Administration is committed to mitigate issues and grievances of people on priority. He instructed officers to adopt robust mechanisms to ensure timely redressal of issues and grievances of people.
He also instructed officers to ensure regular field visits to get first appraisal of issues and grievances of people for early redressal.
Meanwhile, Block Diwas functions were also held at Block Kulgam and Devsar where officers also remained available and listened to issues and grievances of people for redressal.
