DPO B’pora inspects Anganwadi centres across distt, Visits health camp at Hajin

B’pora :The District Programme Officer (DPO) ICDS, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak today inspected the Anganwadicentrers of Bandipora District.
During his visit, the DPO inspected several Anganwadi centres to review the functioning of the Centres along with facilities and services availed by children under the age group of 0 to 6 years.
During the inspection he took review of three CDPO offices of district Bandipora and visited Anganwadi centres of Safapora, Nesbal and Chewa of Hajin area beside the Anganwadi centres of Bandipora zone.
District Programme Officer took detailed stock of maternity benefit schemes for the pregnant/ lactating women.
The DPO said that in district Bandipora 9552 beneficiaries has been covered under maternity benefits schemes till now. Besides,9672 community-based events under PoshanPakhwadaPoshanMaah and SawachthaPakwada were conducted in district in financial year 2021-22.
He said nutrition gardens have been established in all 806 AWC’s of district Bandipora and 182 camps under AnemiaMukt Bharat were held in Bandipora.
The DPO also visited anaemic/ health care camp at Hajin organised by the Health department in coordination with the ICDS Bandipora.
While interacting with the adolescent girls and children who were treated by the specialists of the health department, he asked them to keep liaison with the Anganwadi staff to avail benefits of various schemes along with the health care and nutritional support provided by the department. He also reviewed the implementation of supplementary nutritionalprogramme and distribution of nutritional material to the enrolled children in the Anganwadi centres.
Hakak took serious note of lackadaisical approach of some Anganwadi centres in implementing the various schemes/ programmes ofdepartment. He warnedofficials and the concerned Officers to streamline the functioning of ICDS centres and action taken report is to be submitted otherwise strict action shall be initiated against the will full disobedience.
