Int’l Biodiversity Day: TLSC Sumbal, Edu Deptt organise awareness prog

B’pora: As per the Plan of Action 2022, and calendar of activities for the month of May, 2022, Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Sumbal in collaboration with Education Department Bandipora Monday organized an Awareness Programme on “International Biodiversity Day” at Govt. Higher Sec. School Sadanara, HajinBandipora
The programme was organised under the Chairmanship of MasaratJabeen (Munsiff/JMIC) Sumbal and was attended by Students, Faculty Members, and PLVs of TLSC Sumbal.
Adv. AbidHussain, Adv. NaziyaParveen and Adv. Gazala Amin delivered speeches regarding various issues of biodiversity. Adv. AabidHussain while addressing the audience said that the main intent of Celebration of International Day for Biological Diversity is to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues. He said to halt or reverse the adverse effects of anthropogenic activities, it is vital to transform people’s roles, actions and relationships with biodiversity.
Speakers also addressed the issues of nature’s destruction– extinction and climate change results from legal activities.
The event concluded with the message that “we should preserve Biodiversity and transform our society into one that coexists in harmony and respect for wilderness and the environment”.
