Srinagar: Expressing serious concern over the government decision to re-advertise Rehbar-e-Janglat, Rehbar-e-Zirat, and Rehbar-e-Khel vacancies by JKSSB, Chairman Jammu & Kashmir People’s Democratic Front (J&K PDF ) and former Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has said that the decision would mentally , psychologically and financially devastate the future of educated youth already working against these vacancies . He has urged Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to rescind the order immediately before affected youth are compelled to come on roads .
In a statement issued on Sunday Hakeem while expressing concern over the decision of the government to abolish the posts of Rehbar–Khel , Rehbar- Zirat and Rehbar-e-Janglat posts said that the decision would jeopardize the future of educated youth working against these vacancies who are highly qualified and creamy layer of the society . ” The decision is quite arbitrary in nature and was bound to usurp the livelihood rights of the affected youth, Hakeem said, adding that “the educated youth working against these vacancies were appointed after normal administrative approvals” .He said the scheme for engagement of qualified educated youth as Rehbar-e-Janglat ,Rehbar-e- zirat and Rehbare khel against the clear vacancies in the respective departments was approved by the Cabinets of the previous civilian governments adding that fiddling with these cabinet orders would deal a serious below to the constitunal rights of the people . PDF Chairman said that the schemes have been approved by the Cabinets during previous regimes after realising the evil effects of rising unemployment and brewing unrest among the unemployed technically qualified youth of Jammu and Kashmir. ” Now hundreds of such youth working under these schemes may have crossed the age limit and are not able to apply afresh ” Hakeem observed while urging the LG Manoj Sinha to roll back the decision to re- advertise these vacancies .
