Block Diwas: Grievance redressal camps held at 3 blocks of Kulgam

DC presides over grievances redressal camp at Kulgam

K’gam : To listen to issues, grievances and demands of people for their timely redressal, the District Administration Kulgam Wednesday organized grievances redressal camps at three blocks of the district viz. Devsar, D.H.Pora and Kulgam.
The Deputy Commissioner Kulgam (DC) Kulgam, Dr.BilalMohi-Ud-Din Bhat presided over the grievance redressal camp at Kulgam.
The programme was attended by a number of delegations, civil society members, PRI representatives and scores of individuals besides government officers.
At the outset of the programme, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kulgam, Mohmmad Imran Khan gave a brief of action taken on the issue and grievances raised in previous Block Diwas programme.
Delegations from, Frisal, Laroo, Kadher, Kutamarg, Devsar, Oriel, Kund, Wanpora, D.K.Marg, GundKilam, YadikhahAadigatnoo, Ashthal, Bangwadi and various other areas flagged-off their issue and grievances for timely redressal on the occasion.
The participating delegations, civil society members, PRI representatives and individuals highlighted a number of issues and grievances including augmentation of water supply scenario in various areas, desilting of irrigation canals in Adigatnoo, Frisal, development of playfield at Demidulla and various other demands of public importance.
Officers on spot responded to the queries and issues pertaining to their departments.
Several issues and grievances of immediate nature were redressed by the Deputy Commissioner on the spot.
With regard to drinking water issues, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti apprised the people that majority of schemes have been taken up under JalJeevan Mission and issues related to drinking water will be redressed in all areas soon.
Block diwas functions were also held at Devsar and D.H.Pora blocks where officers listened to the issues and grievances of people for redressal.
