DC Ganderbal chairs Distt Skill Committee meeting

G’bal : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir Wednesday chaired District Skill Committee meeting to discuss the skill development plan for the district.
A detailed presentation regarding roles and responsibilities of District Skill Committee regarding formulation of District Skill Plan was presented in the meeting.
The DC directed each department to start youth aspiration survey using all available resources and sought suggestion from all committee members for formulation of solid workable District Skill Plan within the shortest possible time.
He emphasized on the need to capacitate more people with skill of varied trades and directed for giving wide publicity to the programme incorporating industrialists, traders, manufacturers and other employment generating institutions for absorbing the local youth for skill development.
The DDC said that formulation of skill development plan is the most priority agenda of the district administration and focus should be to ensure creation of a robust skill ecosystem in the district, which will enable youth to get maximum skilling opportunities within their districts.
Chief Planning Officer, IrfanGiri; General Manager, District Industries Centre, District Social Welfare Officer, AD, Employment, Principal Polytechnic College Hatbura, Superintendents of ITI Ganderbal and Kangan, DSWO, District Manager Lead Bank, District officer, KVIB, District Coordinator EDI and other members were present in the meeting.
