Distt Prog Officer B’pora reviews functioning of ICDS

B’pora : To review the progress and implementation of various schemes with regard to Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) District Programme Officer (DPO) ICDS Bandipora, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak Saturday convened a meeting of concerned in his office chamber.
Child Development Project Officers besides other functionaries of ICDS were present on the occasion.
On the occasion, a threadbare discussion regarding various schemes of ICDS was held including the progress and implementation of various centrally and UT sponsored schemes.
During the meeting, the DPO reviewed the scheme wise progress and functioning of ICDS.
While reviewing the functioning of Aaganwari Centres, he was informed that out of 834 AWCs, 806 AWCs are functional with all facilities for maintaining the proper hygiene and sanitation along with the toilet and drinking water facilities. He directed the CDPOs to ensure the availability of drinking water facility and toilets in all the AWCs.
While reviewing the implementation of Prime Minister’s Holistic Nourishment Scheme “PoshanAbhiyan” it was given that 26535 children are enrolled in 806 AWCs and Rs.91.33 lakh were Utilised by the department undernutrition Programme for the year 2021-22.
He also took detailed appraisal of the maternity benefits extended by the department to the pregnant andlactating women for first time birth and disbursement of cash incentives through DBT mode.
The meeting was informed that 8918 beneficiaries were provided financial support under Pradhan MantriMatruVandhanaYojna (PMMKY) with monetary subvention of 370. 94 Lacsup to march 2022.
Hakak also reviewed the progress of BetiBachaoBetiPadhao (BBBP) scheme. He stressed on organising awareness programmes at various levels to highlight the importance of women folk in the social and economic development of mankind.
