Anantnag :President MC DooruVerinag held a detailed review of the progress of registration of street vendors under PM SVANidhi and the associated relocation plan for vendors.
Speaking on the occasion, the President said that 60 vendors already stand registered in the area and 50 additional vendors will be registered. He briefed the vendors to install their redas, khokas away from the road, and ensure that pedestrian and traffic movement is not affected. He said that land for relocation of vendors stands identified. He assured them of all possible assistance from MC DooruVerinag.
The meeting was attended by officials of MC, street vendors and members of the civil society.
The DPO stressed for mass awareness among the people so that the benefits of schemes reach the deserving one.
