Doda DFCO team inspects quality of Beverages available in market

Doda : Keeping in view the concern and voicing over the harmful effects of Fruit juices and carbonated water available and sold in the markets in violation of the FSSA Act, a team of Enforcement Officers of Food Safety DFCO Doda Saturday conducted massive checking in the market areas.
The team lifted the samples of Beverages & carbonated drinks to check that all the beverages, carbonated and fizzy drinks have labels detailing their ingredients including prescribed levels of additives etc. The inspection was conducted indifferent markets of District Doda and the team lifted 4 samples for Analysis.
Assistant Commissioner Food Safety DFCO District Doda, Tariq Ahmad Butt directed the team of Enforcement Officers comprising Amin Khan and Balbir Singh to check the basic Registration/License of FSSA which is mandatory for anyone, who intends to do food business. The team also advised the FBOs to read careful the label & packing regulations like proper marking of the Batch no. lot number, DOP, Best Before, FSSAI License number, Brand name while purchasing and taking over the consignments and also to keep the products away from direct sunlight & immediately put the same in refrigerator.
