Kupwara : The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kupwara Friday organized an awareness programme at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Salkoot, Kupwara.
The programme was chaired by Secretary DLSA, Muzamil Ahmad Wani. Principal GHSS, Teachers and large number of students participated in the awareness programme.
The programme was aimed at to disseminate awareness regarding drug abuse and its ill effects on youth and student community.
In his address, the Secretary DLSA said that we all need to jointly combat all social evils including drug menace. He stressed upon the students to keep away from themselves the elements who are hell bent to destroy the youth of the society by indulging them in social evils.
Other speakers also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the ill effects of drugs on the society.
