Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal Friday paid a surprise visit to Gujjar and Bakerwal Girls Hostel at MehraNagrota to take the first-hand appraisal of the facilities being provided to the girl students there.
The DDC was accompanied by the CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SE Hydraulics, JP Singh; SE PWD, NissarHussain; District Tribal Welfare Officer, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; ExEn PWD Rajouri, MaqboolHussain and ExEn PDD Rajouri, Mohd Hasan during his visit.
The inspection was conducted to assess basic amenities, quality of food served and other facilities available in the hostel for the girl students.
During the visit, the DDC went around the hostel and inspected living rooms, kitchen, classrooms and inquired from the students about their living conditions, mess and lodging facilities. It was informed that presently 100 students were residing in the hostel.
The DDC also interacted with the students and advised them to give priority to education, dream big and work hard to achieve the desired goals. He also asked the staff to provide a suitable environment for the girl students in the hostel so that they can excel in different fields of life.
