DC Ramban reviews implementation of skill dev prog

Ramban : District Skill Development Committee meeting was held Friday here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam to discuss and review the progress made in the implementation of Skill Development Programme in the district.
Chief Planning Officer, Dr.KasturiLal; GM DIC, Vishwajeet; DSEO, DSWO, CAO, Superintendent ITI and other concerned members attended the meeting.
A threadbare discussion was held on bridging the skill gaps and road map for meeting the skill requirements of the district and enhancing the employability of ITI pass outs.
The Deputy Commissioner directed Superintendent ITI Ramban to compile an information bank of trainees to easily access them to provide benefits of different job opportunities. He also directed the members of the Advisory Committee to formulate a Database of pass out trainees and their status of job to make strategy about their placement besides analyzing their level of skills.
The DC also directed to constitute sub-committees to improve the quality of skill up-gradation to achieve the set targets of the District Skill Development programme. He also asked all members of the committee to visit the technical institutions to assess the availability of infrastructural and quality of training modules.
Stating that the industrial sector can play a vital role in generating the employment opportunities, the DDC asked the concerned officer to generate mass awareness about the industrial promotion initiatives of the Government and motivate the youth to avail the necessary benefits of the same.
