Udhampur : An online quiz competition on the theme “Cyber Crime” was conducted by Government Degree College NeeliNallah, here Tuesday.
Students of the college took part in the online quiz competition related to cyber-crime and threw light on the given topic.
Principal of the college, Prof.Satinder Kaur congratulated the students for their excellent performance in the competition. She said that such types of competitions will create awareness among students regarding cyber-crime and make them more alert and active. She informed that Cyber-crime or attack is a systematic criminal activity occurring digitally and done by attackers. She added that this is the reason government agencies and companies are investing more on the maintenance and hiring of cyber-crime experts. She reiterated that Cyber-security for all digital devices is the need of the hour because it not only helps to secure information but also our system from virus attack. She motivated the students to secure themselves and their families against these cyber-attacks.
The convener of the programme was Prof.Shaista Yasmeen. She said that such things happen more with younger generations. So, it is more important for them to know about cybercrime. Dr.Radha Rani, Prof. Swati Dutt and MandeepKour are the organizers of the event.
ShrutiSadotraSem- 3rd, Vishal Tanoch Sem-5th and Sonika Sharma Sem- 5th were judged first, second and third respectively.
