DC chairs preparatory meeting ahead of VVIPs’ visit to Poonch District

Poonch : In wake of the visit of VVIPs to Poonch, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, InderJeet Monday chaired a meeting of all district and Sectoral Officers here at conference Hall of DC office to review the preparations and arrangements being put in place for the smooth conduct of the tour of dignitaries to the district in ensuing days.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Poonch, Abdul Sattar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr.BasharatHussain, Additional Superintendent of Police, Mushim Ahmed, General Manager DIC, Dr.ZakirHussain, Chief Planning Officer, MadanLal, CEO Tourism, Dr. Mohd.Tanveer, Assistant Commissioner Development, AbidHussain Shah, Deputy Registrar/DIO Poonch, VishaldeepChandan, Chief Horticulture Officer, Sanjeev Sharma, Chief Medical Officer, Dr.Shamim Bhatti, Chief Education Officer, Abdul Majid, ARTO Poonch, BasharatHussain, EO municipality, Mushtaq Ahmed, Executive Engineers of different departments besides all sectoral and others district officers were present.
The Deputy Commissioner briefed the meeting about the tour programme of the VVIPs and accordingly necessary arrangements to be made by the concerned departments.
The DC enjoined upon the Officers of the departments to work in a coordinated manner and ensure that all necessary arrangements are made well in advance so that the tour of VVIP culminates smoothly and the purpose of their visit is served.
The DC asked the officers of the Jal Shakti department to ensure uninterrupted supply of water across the district and also all necessary arrangements at all the sites where VVIPs are scheduled to visit. The PDD department was directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply on the day.
The Rural Development Department was asked to make all preparations for the meeting of PRI members and the public.
Similarly, the Tourism department was directed to take all required measures to showcase Tourism related development initiatives for inspection & E-inauguration.
Similar instructions were also passed to other departments to prepare the list of projects ready for inauguration.
He Issued similar directions to others departments for all necessary arrangements at the venue i.e; installation of different departmental sponsored schemes stalls, directed to prepare the detail of different developmental works being executed during the year and their expenditure and list of ongoing works with regard to Tourism infrastructure, Horticulture, Municipality, Sports and all other departmental works were discussed in detail.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the CEO Municipal to clean the market as well as the area of all religious places. He also directed the concerned officers who are extending self-employment benefits to focus on border areas beneficiaries and also on the region who still remain uncovered under different government welfare schemes
