NH-244 widening project: DC Kishtwar disburses land compensation in Sub Division Chatroo

Kishtwar|: To make the process of land acquisition hassle free and transparent, a series of special camps for disbursement of land compensation acquired for up-gradation of NH-244 was Monday held here at Sub Division Chatroo.
The camps were held at DakbanglowKuriya,TRC Mughal Maidan and DakbanglowChhatroo. A team of revenue officers led by Deputy Commissioner Ashok Sharma supervised the exercise of the verification of documents of the owners at these places for the widening of the package 3 of the National Highway-244.
SDM ChatrooInderjeet Singh Parihar, DGM NHIDCL; TehsildarKishtwar, Tehsildar Mughal Maidan,TehsildarChatroo, besides revenue field functionaries and landowners were present on the occasion.
To make the exercise transparent, all the details viz. name of the landowner quantum of land acquired, amount of compensation assessed were publicly announced before landowners for inviting objection or otherwise.
Besides, the acquisition documents of the landownerbeneficiaries were also verified by the concerned officers.
Later, DC Kishtwar along withSDMChatrooInderjeet Singh Parihar, DGM NHIDCL, TehsildarKishtwar, Tehsildar Mughal Maidan, and TehsildarChatroo also inspected the acquired stretch from the Kuriya village to Chatroo to take first hand appraisal of ground situation of acquisition for widening.
