Kulgam : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Monday directed authorities of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) department to intensify verification of Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) ration cards in the district to weed out ineligible beneficiaries.
He also instructed the authorities to display AAY beneficiary lists at all sale points within days.
These directions were passed by the DC during a meeting of officers of FCS&CA held under his chairmanship at the mini-secretariat, here.
During the meeting, the DC also reviewed progress made on one nation one ration card.
He also took stock of availability of essentials across the district.
The DC instructed the officers to ensure regular market checking to ensure availability of quality products in the market with cap on profiteering.
The meeting was attended by ACR, AD FCS&CA, TehsildarHq, all TSOs and other officers.
