Srinagar/Aug,7: Gunfight broke out between government forces and militants Sunday night in Samboora area of Pampore in Pulwama district of South Kashmir .
Reports said that army’s 50 RR, J&K police cordoned off Akram Mohalla in Samboora area of Pampore at 9 pm tonight.
The search operation turned into a gunfight after the militants opened fire on forces, triggering gunfight.
Intense clashes also broke out during the operation as youth pelted forces with stones to disrupt the operation. Forces in retaliation fired teargas shells to disperse them.
Meanwhile, mobile Internet services were suspended across Pulwama district in order to avoid spreading of rumors.
